The two day conference will offer excellent opportunities for you to network with an estimated 50-100 of your peers from shipping companies, coastguards and transport authorities, shipbuilders, energy and mining companies, ice management specialists, consultants and researchers.

The discussions this year will include the practical implementation of the Polar Code, emerging Arctic markets and trade routes, shipping opportunities from mining and energy projects and the growing demand for icebreakers. We will also cover sustainable development of Arctic tourism, freedom of trade in the Arctic, and hear from shipping operators who have successfully navigated Arctic seas.

Session Three, titled Improving Communication Systems in the Arctic to Advance Shipping Capabilities, will comprise of 2 x 30 min presentations followed by 15 min for Q&A. I would ask you to focus on innovative technologies and systems to share data in the Arctic. You would be free to shape the direction and title of your presentation as you desire.
