SIOS is hosting the next Nordic ENVRI workshop (5-7 September) focusing on arctic research infrastructure collaboration and observations.

Nordic ENVRI is a infrastructure network of Nordic Atmospheric and Earth system science including Nordic representatives of ICOS, ACTRIS, SIOS, ANaEE and other relevant national environmental research infrastructures. The Nordic ENVRI network organizes workshops on specific topics to collaborate, share knowledge and best practices, and create common strategies and policies among environmental RIs and Nordic countries.

The meeting will be hosted by The University Centre in Svalbard (UNIS).

The core topic of the workshop is Arctic research infrastructure collaboration and observations. Tentative plan of the meeting includes:
1) SIOS, ICOS, ACTRIS collaboration
2) Topics related to arctic observations and research infrastructures and initiatives
3) Field trip to the EISCAT facility at Svalbard (location gives you a great view over the mountains/valleys close to Longyearbyen)
