7th International Conference on Arctic Margins (ICAM VII) will be held 2nd-5th June 2015, in Trondheim, Norway.
As of today, 100 abstracts have been submitted to ICAM VII, covering the scientific themes:
New data on seafloor geology and deep structure of the Arctic Basin and adjacent areas (their implementation in international projects, with sub-session on planned field activities)
Circum-Arctic onshore-offshore structural relations
Stratigraphy, paleo-environments and geological history of the Arctic basin and adjacent areas
Arctic Large Igneous Provinces and their geodynamic significance
Plate reconstructions and lithosphere evolution of the Arctic region
Glacial events and their geological consequences (with sub-session on origin of bottom sediments)
Arctic Gas Hydrates
ICAM VII 2015 in Trondheim, Norway
ICAM VII is hosted by the Geological Survey of Norway (NGU), and will be held at Britannia Hotel in the city center of Trondheim.
The ICAM VII International Organizing Committee is chaired by Morten Smelror (NGU) and Oleg Petrov (VSEGEI, vice-President of the CGMW Subcommission for Northern Eurasia), and comprises the members Karin Andreassen (UiT), Harald Brekke (NPD), James Clough (Alaska DGGS), Bernard Coakley (UAF), Dieter Franke (BGR), Thomas Funck (GEUS), Carmen Gaina (UiO), Wilfried Jokat (AWI), Valery Kaminsky (VNIIOkeangeologia), Hans-Joachim Kümpel (BGR), Astrid Lyså (NGU), Alexander Minakov (UiO), Andrey Morozov (Rosnedra), Odleiv Olesen (NGU), Victoria Pease (Stockholm University), Sergey Sokolov (RAS), Ruediger Stein (AWI), Dennis Thurston (BOEM) and Christian Marcussen, (GEUS).
