Description

The search and rescue community is facing some critical challenges that must be overcome in 2016. As well as developing multi-agency interoperability and cooperation between agencies and countries, and delivering maximum functionality on minimal budgets, the SAR community has also faced the considerable challenge posed by the migrant crisis in the Mediterranean, which appears set to continue throughout the year. There is a clear need to consider future strategies for managing the mass displacement of people in conjunction with the broader challenges for SAR operations.

With this mind Defence IQ’s Search and Rescue 2016 Summit will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark on 7-8 June 2016. Save the date now. The event is timed specifically to follow up on the Danish government’s Arctic LIVEX: a large scale search and rescue exercise being held in Greenland in May 2016.
